Sourdough Bread
Sourdough Loaf
Ingredients:
- 100 grams bubbly sourdough starter
- 700 grams warm water
- 1,000 grams all-purpose flour
- 18 grams salt
- 2 spoonfuls of honey
- Feed your starter about 16 hours before you want to bake your bread
- Mix the flour and salt together, and then add in the starter, water, and honey
- Let the dough sit for about an hour, and then fold the dough
- This would be the time to fold in any mix-ins ex:
- Italian herbs and Colby jack cheese
- Cinnamon, sugar, butter, and brown sugar
- This would be the time to fold in any mix-ins ex:
- Let the dough sit for another 8-10 hours, and fold it occasionally
- Shape the dough into 4 loaf shapes
- Personally, I shape them, get loaf pans, cover them in rice flour, and then set each loaf shape into a pan
- Let proof for about 1 hour
- Preheat your oven to 450°
- In the bottom of the oven, place an oven-safe pan (I use a brownie pan) full of ice
- Set the loaf pans in the oven and cook for about 40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 210°
